Art Demonstrations
Over the years 2nd Saturday Art Night has been host to many different types of Art Demonstrations. Some in galleries, in shops and even on the streets.
*In 2018 John Sharum did a block printing demonstration at the Aloft Art Gallery
* Andrea Morris did an acrylic pour demonstration at the Aloft Art Gallery.
*The Aloft Art Gallery has been honored to have Heinie Hartwig as a special guest artist through August. Heinie gave a most inspiring painting demonstration during the June 2nd Saturday, with his painting being auctioned at the end of the demo. Merla and Don Jordan were the highest bidders, adding a Heinie Hartwig painting to their collection! Heinie seldom sells directly to the public making this event exceptional.
*In November, 2016, the Gallery was lucky enough to host Micheal Severin. In keeping with our seasonal shift into winter, he painted a snow scene, which was sold to the highest bidder at the end of the night. 2nd Saturday art night goers had the chance to see Severin in action and to possibly pick up a few pointers of their own—not to mention the opportunity to own a piece of original art crafted before their eyes.
*Joan Muggleton did a demonstration of her unique art technique using egg yolks.
*Zac Calbert made Valentines day cards in the window of his shop Utltrtn Design.
*'There was even a bonsai demonstration in front of the Backspace shop downtown.
